It is the goal of the Pediatric Pulmonary and Critical Care Division at the University of Minnesota to discover and deliver outstanding medical care that will enable children with respiratory disease and critical illness to live a full and meaningful life.

The mission of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is to promote and advance the health and wellness of infants, children, and young adults with respiratory disease and with acute, life threatening illness. We seek to fulfill our mission by direct service to patients and the health care community, through innovative basic and clinical research of substantial impact, and with effective education. We strive to consistently provide regional and national leadership through the quality of our efforts, but continuous improvement is our expectation. Our confidence in success derives from our commitment to our principles, to our patients, to each other, and to ourselves and our families.
